Hi Guys this is a brand new page we would like to add to our website.  We have received hundreds of emails in the past from hunters who wanted to thank us and tell us how much they enjoyed their hunt, so we wanted to create a page that will allow hunters to post their comments about their hunt.  If you would like to post a comment please email us at tiogaboarhunting@yahoo.com and include your name, date of the hunt, species hunted, how many hunts you have had at Tioga, and your comments.  Thank you in advance for taking the time to help us out...

To the crew at Tioga...Thank you so very much for another fantastic hunt!  It was a real treat to take my 9 year old son Brock on his first big game hunt.  Its surely a day neither of us will ever forget!  I cant say enough about the food (Im still full) the accomodations are great and the guides are the nicest guys anyone could hope to find.  Why people would hunt anywhere else ill never know!  We cant wait to get back up there again.  Rodney, thank you especially for making this day possible for my son, you were top notch!  Thank you again and see you soon.

My name is Bill Brunetti Jr. I have been coming to Tioga for over 5 years now and about 7+trips.  I came with my father first and now have expanded to my tow sons as well as many of my friends.  We are always treated like family here.  Their house is our house.  I have personally harvested, four boar, buffalo, two rams, and many many memories.  From the second we get there its like we never left and i always look forward to the spaghetti with buffalo meat sauce.  Whether its breakfast, lunch, or dinner you never leave the table hungry.  I cant wait to get back there and see all of you guys.
There is nothing better a great day of hunting, awesome food, a beer, a cigar, and good friends.
See you all soon
Bill Brunettie Jr.

Mark, We had a great time on our Boar hunt.  I cant describe how much fun we had.  The hunt was everything Id hoped it would be.  My special thanks to Mike for working with us and getting me into position for a great shot on my boar...After the hunt we enjoyed some great meals in the lodge, and enjoyed the swapping stories with the other hunters that evening.
Once again thank you for making this such a wonderful experience

I just hunted Tioga for the first time this October.  I have to say the personal attention was nothing short of outstanding.  Carl treated all the guys as though he knew them for a lifetime.  I met other hunters, great people, who happened to have a cabin less than a mile away from mine in Farmersville, Ny.  My brother came to video the hunt and our guides Carl and Mark were very accommodating.  My brother in law and i were here for our first experience, him with his 44 and me with my PSE and ancient compound bow.  i cant thank Mark enough for the information he provided to us to prepare for the hunt, then his expert advise as I stalked my first boar, and of course his assistance in pushing me up the tree as the boar charged us right to the base of the tree I was in.  The work Carl and Mark did back at the ranch to prepare the harvest for pictures, and then for the cooler was outstanding.  Wed certainly like to thank the cooks who did a wonderful job with the pork for sandwiches and sausage, and the roasted venison was outstanding.  Thanks again for a great first time experience, Ill be back someday

Well, Dick Dunkle and I made it home and did get to drop our boar heads off at the taxidermist as we had hoped.  I just wanted to let you all know what a wonderful time we had at Tioga Ranch.  The accommodations were great, comfortable, and very clean.  The food was outstanding and we loved the Buffalo spaghetti and the Wild Boar Sausage for breakfast.  The ladies who did all the hard work to make this happen are real troopers and we extend to them our thanks for thier efforts.  The hunt was, of course, the real focus for us and it, too, was an outstanding experience!  The guides Carl and Carmen were expert at their jobs and got us both very nice boars in an exciting fashion.  The hunting areas were well laid out and well managed.  I want to tell you that I would recommend Tioga to anyone who asks! Thanks again for a GREAT time.  I hope that all of oyour clients are as happy and satisfied as we are.
Sincerely,

Good Morning Rod, Mark and the rest of the Tioga team.  Just wanted to let you know George and I made the trek back to Northern New York safely.  Thank you for a very enjoyable stay at the ranch this past weekend,.  The accommodations and camaraderie were excellent.  We do plan to come again for a return visit and this timme I wil adhere to the Guides advice ad take the second shot rather than opt for a wrestiling match with the boar.
Respectfully,
Dennis

As this years captain of the "A" team, I feel it necessary to write to express our gratitude.  From the time we arrived Friday afternoon till we had to leave Sunday morning the entire Tioga staff was nothing short of excellent.  This was our third trip to the ranch and it seems to just get better every time! Starting with the food, smiles, and laughter that comes out of the kitchen staff and continuing on right through the guides, this trip was nothing short of perfect.  We called to schedule my bachelor party for this March of 2009 with no hesitation of what was to come.  We had four hunters this year with towo cameramen along for the hunt.  Chase was a very professional guide setting us up so we could view many different boar before deciding on which we wanted to harvest.  Jamie gets the award for dedication to the hunters, as he introduced us to some of the best boar wrestiling we have every seen.  He made sure that we werent going to lose the injured boar! Of course any hunt at Tioga wouldnt be the same for "A" team with out Rodney being part of it!  so on behalf of Nate, Sean, Nick, Chris, Russ, and Marty we have to thank you for all you do.
Looking forward to our next Tioga experience,
The Rochester Ny "A" Team

We stayed from 2/25-2/27/09 a big thank you to Mike and Rodney my daughters first hunt at Tioga was a success because of you two, the white fallow doe she shot was one of the hardest hunts I have ever been on.  After multiple setups I never thought it was going to happen, neither of you gave up on her.  At ten years old she was so excited to take her first big game animal.  She will never forget all of the hard work that you did for her.  Haleigh cant wait to get her shoulder mount on the wall and plan her next trip back to Tioga you have her hooked for life(you had me last year).  I took a very large tan boar well over 200 lbs for the second year.  Haleigh now knows why dad couldnt stop talking about Tioga since last year.  The people, food and animals are all first class.  Thanks again to everyone at Tioga you kow you will see us again soon.

Hello all at Tioga, I just would like to say thank you fuys for the great experience my son and I had hunting on 2/26/09.
The guides Mike and Rodney were great and we thank you.  Im sure after the long day setting up on the fallow does you both slept well that night.  I will also not forget to thank the cooks for the delicious dinners.
Will see you soon,
Thanks Kim Hall

Just wanted to let EVERYBODY their knoow that as far as my son, Lucas and I are concerned, it could not have been a better weekend!!! Paul was an absolute great guide!!  He was patient, yet knew what I wanted for my son.  We eventually located a great boar and my son was able to make a good shot on it (proud father trying not to brag to much).  My son says it was the best weekend of his life (hes only 11 and hasnt discovered women yet) but that is a pretty big statement.  The food was fantastic, the lodging was more than adequate, and the staff was only interested in our comfort and happiness.  I am confident that my son will not let me stay away from their for long.  Please tell Paul and everybody involved that my son and I now have a love affair with Tioga, and Im sure we will be back soon.  Great People Great Place
Thanks again,
Keith Calvert

Mark, I just want to say that you, and the rest of the staff at Tioga are very capable, professional people, and I enjoyed the stay and Buffalo hunt last week.  The "Buff" I harvested is a beautiful animal of good size, and it was a pleasure to watch how he was handled from the point of kill to the skinning and quartering.  I arrived home with the meat still cold and in perfect condition.  My butcher said "its a pleasure working with meat that is extremely well taken care of".  This Buffalo is going to make a nice trophy mount and tanned hide.  Again, I thoroughly enjoyed the lodging (very clean & comfortable) the food, and my fellow hunters at the lodge.  The Boars still await me.

Tioga Ranch, I took my brother Tim to your ranch on Sept 27th 2008 to hunt a trophy whitetail and a boar for him and I.  The hunt was special because it was my way of saying thank you to my brother for all the things he has done and the help he has given me over the years.  First off a special thank you to Mark for an outstanding job finding a true trophy whitetail buck, we were blown away to see that it had 14 points and it was scored at 184 inches far and above what i thought he would have taken.  The boar hunt was even more fun, my brother Tim took a trophy big tusker and i shot a really big sow i could not be happier.  Please thank the guides who worked so hard for us Rodney and Mark.  A very special thanks to the ladies who cooked and took care of our needs in the Lodge, the food was outstanding and the accommodations were very comfortable.  Also thanks to the rest of the staff you folks made us feel like part of the family.  I will recommend your ranch to all of my hunting friends.  My brother and I are making plans to return in February for another hunt and more after that...
Thank you all so very much
Todd Chapman Springwater, Ny

Rod, I just wanted to say thanks for all the help you gave Cody to make his hunt a success.  He is telling his story to anyone who will listen and still has a smile on his face.  You guys are top notch and I will recommend you to all my friends.
Looking forward to coming back,
Jim

To the entire Tioga Team, A special note of thanks for creating the most unforgettable hunting experience ever.  The hospitatlity was unmatched and the culinary experience exceeded every expectation.  In the end Rodney guided me to my goal and celebrated an unforgettable 1 shot 1 kill victory.
Regards,
Ran

Just a few words to say thanks to all who helped Jen and I have a fantaastic time at your place.  The meals and warmth of your staff was the best.  Carl went above and beyond to help me and my daughter enjoy our stay.  The animal we harvested was 2nd to none.  If you ever need any references please use my name and letter.
Thank you again,
Ken Gsell

Tioga, Our group from the Annapolis area of Maryland hunted your property on 5/31/08.  We had a great time!  Your guides and cooks were very accommodating.  There were 7 in our party and everyone killed a boar.  We look forward to returning in the future.
Steve Walker

I hunted with my daughter in 2007.  She took a 200+lb boar and a Spanish goat.  I took a 200+ lb boar and two goats.  Our guide was Carl.  The things I liked about hunting at Tioga were:1. Food was great. 2. Lodge was nice and comfortable. 3. Our guide made the hunt enjoyable, with a no hurry attitude. 4. All the staff treated you like one of the family. 5. They have anything you could dream to hunt. 6. Last but not least, our guide Carl was outstanding, he made sure at all times we were hunting safely and responsibly.  I would recommend hunting at Tioga to anyone who wants to have a great experience with great people.

Tioga,
Hello to all that is involved with Tioga.  Thanks again for another great trip.  I have traveled and hunted other areas of the country and I have to say, you guys are great.  I think what separates you guys from some other is just how all of you treat all your hunters as if they were family.  Bottom to top very professional and knowledgeable of the game in which you are hunting to get you the best trophy in which you are seeking.  Special thanks again to Mark for helping me and Greg with our hunts.
Sincerely,
Bob Burns

Greetings to all at Tioga,
I have hunted at Tioga for several years now, and have yet to be disappointed.  In 2005, I hunted for a Black Russian Boar, and was blessed to harvest one well over 200 pounds.  He is now a beautiful conversation piece on my wall.  My guide, did a wonderful job of putting me in the right place to see several boar.  After several attempts, my 30-06 cracked, and my boar was down.  It was a very exciting hunt, and to hunt an animal that can easily become the hunter, adds to the thrill of the hunt.  My guide stressed the fact for me to wait for the right shot, and put it down.  I also enjoy the fact that the guides at Tioga are unarmed.  It is all up to the hunter.
In 2007, I returned to Tioga to hunt the Rocky Mountain Ram, an animal I have always wanted to add to my trophy room.  After arriving, getting settled in a wonderful, comfortable, clean, room at the lodge, I went to the rifle range and made sure my rifle was on the mark.  The next morning we were up early, had a great breakfast, I met my guide and we were off.  However I became side tracked when a 5x6 Red Stag caught my eye.  After watching this animal for sometime, I told my guide that we needed to hunt him.,  Later after several setups and moves, my TC Encore 300 Win Mag hammer came down and so did my Stag.  What a hunt that was, and a beautiful trophy.  On that same hunt, I was able to take a Fallow Doe which turned out to be a real challenge.  These animals are very spooky, hardly ever stop, herd up tight, and the shots are usually at a good distance away.  My shot was well over the 200 yard mark.
I was also very impressed with the field safety at Tioga.  All the guides are aware of their area, work together well, and know where the other hunters are.  The food is out of this world, with several types of wild game served daily, with all the side dishes, and deserts, with the coffee pot always on.  The weight one looses in the filed, is gained back at the table.  However, I have yet to hunt the Rocky Mountain Ram, so that means a return to Tioga in 2008.  I wonder if I will become side tracked again?
In closing, I again , cannot say enough for my guide, a great guy, and knows what he is doing.  If the hunter is a good listener, he will take home his trophy.
Sincerely,
Norm Cox

To the Tioga Boar Preserve,
I surprised my husband for his 50th birthday with a trip to your preserve on 5/3/08.  We had a blast!!  Everything was great from the food and the gals who cooked it to the guides Rodney and Rex.  We could not have been treated better!!  As a woman, I run into a lot of "men" who make snide remarks and treat me in a condescending manner--not here!!  The guides and the other guests were friendly, polite, and fair. Thank you for making this a wonderful memory that we hope to repeat in the near future with our children..
Sincerely yours,

Hello to all at Tioga,
My step father, Conrad and myself, Bob, hunted at Tioga on April 19, 2008.  Let me start by saying tat are guided did an outstanding job, from their hospitality to their knowledge of the game we were after to the processing of it.  We let them know what we were after and they helped us get it.  Conrad took a 220 lbs Sow and I got a 250 lbs Sow.  The overall experience was great.  Everyone was very friendly.  This was our first time on a guided hunt and first at Tioga.  We would gladly recommend hunting at Tioga to any hunter.  We will definitely be going again.  Thank you again Tioga.
Sincerely,
Bob

Tioga,
At 57, each year brings a winter that's a little colder then the last and familiar hills that were easy to climb are a little steeper then they were the year before.  Even though I am powerless to hold back the hands of time my good friends at Tioga make my hunts there as enjoyable as the first time I walked through there door.  Since I started hunting exotics I've always wanted  a trophy Mouflon that would stand out among the other game animals that I've been fortunate to take in my lifetime.  Let me say now that I've succeeded in taking that trophy Mouflon and Tioga Hunting Preserve made it all possible.  Good friends, good food, and good guns equal a great hunt which can all be found at Tioga.

I must first say thanks to our guides, Mike and Carl, these gentleman were extremely knowledgeable, made us feel very comfortable and added much pleasure to the overall experience.  To all hunters, this was a great experience for myself and the other hunters in my party.  I have been hunting for several years now and I would have to say this was one of the best experiences I have ever had.  They cater to all levels of experience to insure successful hunting.  Spotting the various game while staling was heart pounding and the hunt will provide more than enough challenge for any level of hunter.  The Boar and Rocky Mountain Ram I bagged were great!! I should add that the lodging, food, and staff were terrific.
Thanks again Tioga, we will definitely return, hopefully with my son, to enjoy your hospitality.
Sincerely,

To my fellow hunters at Tioga Ranch,
Allow me to say that the experience at Tioga you will encounter is unparallel to any other.  I am proud to say that I have accumulated over the years over eighteen trophies (all wall hangers).  And it must be noted that during the 2007 Bear season at Tioga I harvested a 257 lb trophy.  This would have never been possible without the professionals at Tioga.  If a fellow sportsman is looking for a great experience that they will never forget, you need look no further than Tioga, believe me when I tell you that not only the experience, but also the personable attention you are given will bring you back time and time again.
Sincerely,

Tioga is GREAT.  In all aspects.  My father and I shared the experience.  I hunted that Saturday and he played camera man.  Derek was my guide, we had a quick successful hunt and recommend him to any hunter.  He made me feel comfortable that he knew the woods as well as the animals that we were hunting.  All the guides were so polite and knowledgeable, they made everyone so comfortable.  The whole experience of hunting with you guys was great.  It has that true hunting feeling from the beautiful scenery to the hunting lodge itself.  I cant wait for the future hunts that I will have with you guys.

Sincerely,
Anthony Messina

Tioga, I've lost count of exactly how many hunts I've been on at Tioga and they were all excellent, however, I have to comment on the last two which were a trophy Whitetail and a Bison hunt with a turkey thrown in for good measure.  The guides all said that I should be ready for a good Whitetail, but when that deer came up the game trail and the sunlight hit his antlers I shook like the first time when I had a deer in my sights.  He was the biggest I've seen in over 20 years of hunting...As a matter of fact I pulled my first shot and only because of the expert help from Tioga's experienced guides was I able to put my trophy of a lifetime down for keeps.  The Bison...let me say now that I've hunted Cape Buffalo in Africa and the bull I took at Tioga was almost equal in size and just about as hard to put down.  I used my Freedom Arms 454 with a 300 grain bullet and placement of the round is critical with an animal of this size when using a handgun.  Again, the guides set me up in the best position for a kill shot and as you can see in the photo...I got my Buff!!!!  This story's not over because later in the day I took a trophy with my handgun that I've been trying to get for the last 7 years without success.  That trophy is none other then North Americas own wild Turkey.  As we still hunted Tioga's vast woodlands I caught some movement behind a pile of blow down trees.  What's this???Why yes...its the head and neck of a turkey which I have to say now was trying to hide from us.  I sat down with my back against a tree and brought my 454 to rest on my knees.  The head and neck of a turkey that's 40 yards away makes for a small target so I cranked my variable power Leopold up to 8x.  This had to be one of the hardest game shots I've ever taken with my handgun as I held my breath and tried to squeeze the trigger with the greatest of concentration.  BOOM!!!  As the gun barrel rose in recoil the head of the bird disappeared and all became still...  $0 yards away nothing moved as we made our way to that pile of logs where the turkey last stood.  There among the wood and loose feathers lay my bird with a bullet hole "smack dab" in the center of his neck.  That, like some many others, was how my day ended at Tioga Hunting Preserve with what I would say was a "damn good hunt".
Sincerely,
James Swydrik

Hello to any hunter that's reading messages posted.  I've hunted at Tioga Boar Hunting Preserve a couple of times.  I have found the people to be the best kind of people to know, the food is great, the accommodations are just as good.  An ample supply of animals to hunt in large hunting areas.  I would recommend this hunting preserve to everyone and I plan on hunting there in the future.  Thanks guys for some good hunts
Truly,
Vincent J. Cacia

Just a quick note to let you know how much my son and I enjoyed our Buffalo hunt on February 22nd.  We could have not asked for a more considerate and patient guide than Mark.  I was especially impressed with the way he treated my 10 year old son like an adult and the way he took my leg problems into account.  You guys were great!  The meat was cut up perfectly and we have enjoyed some already-delicious and tender.  Once again-a hunt of a lifetime and worth every penny
Thank you!
Wes and Jake Belcher

I have brought both of my sons to Tioga to hunt Boar with bow when they turned 10.  Not only were both boys successful in harvesting trophy's the experience they each enjoyed will be remembered for a lifetime.  The people at Tioga were wonderful.  They were truly focused on providing my sons with a quality experience.  They will be strongly recommended by our family.
Sincerely,
