Black Hawaiians
The Tioga Ranch offers affordable professionally fully guided hunting packages for Black Hawaiian Rams year round, 7 days a week. The Hawaiian Ram is one of the most hunted exotics in the United States and have been been hunted here at the Tioga Ranch for more then 40 years. The Black Hawaiian Ram makes a great hunt when stalked, you will need to be patient and pick a shot since they have great herding ability. Hawaiian Rams are black and usually have a white muzzle on their nose with an attractive main down the front of their necks. There are fewer Black Hawaiian Rams the Corsican and Dall Rams. A mature Hawaiian Ram will weigh as much as 140 lbs. For the most part the horns on a Black Hawaiian Ram will have a tight curl but sometimes they do flare out. We start hunting our mature rams when their horns reach a 3/4 curl, the majority of our rams we hunt will have a full curl and we also hunt rams with more then a full curl. Most Hawaiian hunts are 1-2 days in length and are all fully guided hunts, we do have lodging on the premises for $100/night/person, and that includes all of your meals while you stay with us. Any hunting caliber rifle, muzzleloader, shotgun, pistol, or bow will work great for a Hawaiian Hunt. Your guide will also cape and butcher your meat for you for $110, this includes the guide caping your ram for a shoulder mount and processing the meat into steaks, chops, roasts, spare ribs etc. all you need to do is bring a cooler 64 quarts or larger and then freezer wrap the meat when you get home. Pricing for Black Hawaiian hunts start at $650-750 for 3/4 curl, $800-$1000 for a full curl ram, $1000-1200 for a 1 1/4 curl ram, and $1500 + for a 1 1/2 curl or better ram.
