They’re a lot harder to hunt for than you might think.
Since Rocky Mountain Rams are so big and because they have horns that look like they would slow them down, some hunters are under the impression that hunting them won’t be that challenging. But that couldn’t be further from the truth! Rocky Mountain Rams are capable of climbing up cliffs and taking big jumps when they sense danger. This can make it difficult to hunt for them. They’re also incredibly smart animals that won’t have much trouble matching wits with you when you hunt them.

One of the other things that makes it difficult to hunt Rocky Mountain Rams is their sense of smell. They can smell predators and hunters coming from a mile away (figuratively speaking, at least!).
