Buffalo meat doesn’t have the fat cap you usually find on most other red meats. It cooks faster than other meats, so it doesn’t take too long to prepare for a meal. Best of all, buffalo meat is high in protein and low in fat!
Did you know buffalo meat has 2.42 grams of fat per serving, with just 1 gram of saturated fat? Besides being low in fat, it’s also low in sodium, cholesterol and calories. Those who regularly consume buffalo meat have dropped their cholesterol levels up to 45% within a 6 month period. That’s probably because buffalo meat is high in Omega 3s and 6s, both of which combat cholesterol.
For those who have never tasted buffalo meat, there’s a misconception that it might taste gamey. That’s not the case. Instead, buffalo meat actually tastes like a high grade of lean beef. It goes well with vegetables and salad, making a nice and healthy dinner meal.
